More than apparel. A reminder of gratitude.
It began as a simple habit.
After every sparring session, I'd shake hands with my sparring partner and their coach and say, "Thank you for the work."
It was my way of showing respect.
Because without each other, none of us improve.
Every round, every drill, every lesson, every challenge.
We grow because someone else is willing to show up and put in the work alongside us.
Over time, those five words became more than something I said.
They became a mindset.
This collection is my way of honoring the people who help us become better: the fighters, coaches, parents, mentors, teammates, training partners, and community members who choose to invest in one another every single day.
It's also an outlet for my creativity.
A way to combine my love for boxing, design, and storytelling into something people can wear with pride.

## About

Boxing saved my life.
The discipline, accountability, resilience, and purpose I found through this sport are the same lessons I strive to pass on every day as a coach, mentor, and father.
I'm Jay-R Escalante, also known as Padworkpapi—a USA Boxing certified coach based in Chicago. I work with everyone from first-time beginners to amateur competitors and professional fighters, helping them develop not only their boxing skills, but also the mindset required to grow inside and outside the ring.
My coaching philosophy is simple: every drill should have a purpose, every round should teach something, and every athlete deserves a coach who genuinely cares about their development.
Beyond training fighters, I'm passionate about developing coaches through structured padwork, creating opportunities for communities to experience boxing, documenting athletes' journeys through photography and film, and building a culture centered around one belief:
Doing the work.
Because success isn't built on talent alone.
